These feelings worksheets help your students recognize feelings vocabulary. Read and circle the correct feeling. Be sure to show your children how to use the sheet by doing the first question together at the front of class. After finishing the lesson, ask for volunteers that want to read the sheet while repeating a feelings sentence pattern: “I am (feeling).”

Feelings Coloring Worksheets DOWNLOAD

These feeling coloring sheets are for students of all ages. The coloring sheets can help strengthen pencil grip or help children to practice coloring inside the lines. If some of your students finish too quickly, ask them to turn over their sheet and draw a picture of how they are feeling today! Here is the writing version of the feelings coloring worksheets!

Feelings Vocabulary Writing Worksheets DOWNLOAD

Writing is the final thing you should practice with your class as it’s the most challenging for younger students. Be sure your children can already read & write Aa-Zz before they try to write words. Children can pick up bad habits if suddenly asked to write words when they don’t yet understand how to write letters. If your children are confident, try using the writing worksheets with longer sentence patterns:  Q. “How are you?.” A. “I am (feeling).”

Feelings Bingo DOWNLOAD

Feelings bingo is a fun activity for the children to look forward to at the end of the lesson. Use some counters or precut pieces of card to make counters. Then pick two students to give out the materials and counters to save yourself some energy. Be sure to model the first game so the children understand how to play. Try to use the sentence pattern to drill the card chosen during the game. This way, the children can get even more practice!

Feelings Reading & Writing Book DOWNLOAD

Now that your students are confident with reading & writing the feelings vocabulary, why don’t you try our feelings workbooks! designed to help teachers keep track of how students are progressing with their reading and writing skills.  These books are designed so children can draw one feeling each day, letting students draw their own picture and then filling out the sentence. The blank book can also be used as a feelings diary, recording how they are feeling each day.

The workbooks come in many variations, letting the teacher choose the most appropriate level. Difficulties range from single word tracing, to writing full sentences!
